Dynamic Deacons is a weekend seminar designed to inspire, equip, and strengthen men who serve as deacons. Through practical biblical teaching and decades of ministry experience, participants gain a deeper understanding of the deacon’s calling, greater confidence in their leadership, and proven principles for effective service. The result is greater joy in ministry, increased effectiveness, and a reduced risk of discouragement and burnout.
Whether your men are seasoned veterans, newly appointed deacons, or aspiring candidates, Dynamic Deacons provides the biblical knowledge and practical tools they need to succeed. Prospective deacons will discover a clear path of preparation. New deacons will gain the confidence and direction needed to begin their ministry well. Experienced deacons will be encouraged to reflect on their calling, renew their commitment, and serve with fresh vision and enthusiasm.
With more than five decades of preaching and church leadership experience, Aubrey has helped congregations across the country develop stronger leadership teams. His background in biblical studies, communication, practical ministry, and spiritual leadership provides a unique blend of biblical insight and real-world experience.
If your goal is to develop deacons who understand their calling, embrace their responsibilities, and serve with confidence and effectiveness, Dynamic Deacons is an investment that will bless your church for years to come.
A special option is also available for wives of deacons and other church leaders. We call it, "Leading from Beside: The Softer Side of Leadership." These sessions offer encouragement to ladies who work behind the scenes to support their husbands and their ministries. Lisa Johnson, a minister's wife for over fifty years, delights participants with her personal experiences, joyful spirit, and down-to-earth teaching style.
I don’t have a set speaking fee. When people ask, I generally suggest $2,500, which covers the honorarium as well as transportation, lodging, and meals. If my wife, Lisa, is also speaking to your ladies, I suggest adding $1,000. For congregations within our local area, you may reduce these suggested amounts by $500 each, since travel expenses are minimal. If these amounts are beyond your budget, please don’t let finances keep us from working together. Simply provide what you’re able. Building God’s kingdom is our shared mission, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to serve.
Your deacons will leave encouraged, challenged, and equipped to serve at a higher level. They will gain a deeper appreciation for the dignity, purpose, and importance of their God-given role. Special emphasis is placed on strengthening the relationship between deacons and elders while providing practical ideas for more effective service. Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of God’s expectations and greater confidence in their ability to fulfill them faithfully.
Each session lasts 45 minutes with a 15 minute break before the next topic.
